Job Summary: The Vehicle Preparation Technician is responsible for preparing vehicles for various services, such as window tinting. This role involves cleaning and prepping the vehicle to ensure a smooth application process and a high-quality finished product. Additionally, the technician is responsible for moving vehicles in and out of the shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Vehicle Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the vehicle windows, to remove dirt, debris, and any substances that could interfere with the application process.
- 2. Measurement and Preparation: Measure the windows accurately to ensure the correct tint film size is selected. Apply protective films or tapes as necessary to protect the vehicle’s interior and exterior during the tinting process.
- 3. Quality Inspection: Conduct a final inspection of the vehicle to ensure it meets the company’s standards for cleanliness and preparation before the tinting process begins.
- 4. Assist with Installation: Help the tinting technician with the installation process as needed, ensuring the correct application of the tint film.
- 5. Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their preferences and answer any questions about the preparation process.
- 6. Maintain Equipment: Keep all equipment and tools used for vehicle preparation in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
- 7. Vehicle Movement: Safely move vehicles in and out of the shop as needed, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications: – High school diploma or equivalent – Previous experience in an automotive or service industry preferred – Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions – Excellent communication and customer service skills – Ability to work independently and as part of a team – Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and care – Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
